Earlier this week, we had the honour of welcoming a delegation from the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) to Asiko’s terminal site in Ijora, Lagos. It is always a pleasure to host visits to our fully mounded, propane-rated terminal site, as each engagement reinforces the project’s purpose and vision. The team was led by Heather Lanigan, Regional Director for Sub-Saharan Africa, and Joshua Egba, Country Representative. Their visit marked an important moment of exchange, collaboration and shared interest in the future of energy infrastructure in Nigeria.
The delegation was given a guided tour of the Asiko’s terminal site by our General Manager of Operations, Busayo Fabunmi, and our Managing Director, Felix Ekundayo, who provided a detailed overview of the terminal’s design, safety standards and long-term objectives. Beyond showcasing the project’s physical progress, the visit offered an opportunity to articulate our broader, holistic vision, one that positions gas as a practical bridge in the transition to cleaner energy. Discussions also explored the wider potential of the infrastructure to support energy access, adoption and sustainability across communities and industries.
As construction progresses, we remain committed to building infrastructure that meets international standards, supports economic growth and contributes meaningfully to the global drive toward a more sustainable energy future.
